Industry Leader, Global Manager, and Serial Philanthropist
Throughout his career Edward (“Ed”) Schack has managed accounts for billion dollar businesses; has overseen global sales, marketing, manufacturing, and distribution campaigns; and now owns and operates a multi-million dollar company, EES Cosmetic Solutions.
An award-winning business man with an enduring legacy of success over his 25-year career, Ed has established EES Cosmetic Solutions as one of the northeast’s most robust independently-owned manufacturer’s representatives and distributors to the cosmetic and personal care industries. Serving as company CEO and Sales EVP since founding the firm in 2004, Ed has grown EES Cosmetic Solutions into an industry leader with several nationally-known brand names as clients or principals, including Bayer.
Ed has spent more than two decades in the cosmetics industry working for various firms with much success. Career highlights include increasing sales over 700%; managing top accounts such as Estée Lauder, Loreal, Avon, and Procter & Gamble; and directly managing staff teams in Canada, East Asia, Australia, and Europe.
In addition to running his own company, Ed also assists his wife in her current entrepreneurial venture, Cowabunga Ice Cream, which aims to be a leading provider of premium designer ice cream. Through Cowabunga, Ed and his wife have participated in philanthropic endeavors and forged strategic partnerships with several nonprofit organizations, including the Christian Chamber of Commerce.
During his free time, Ed lends support to programs that develop young adults. He has held Head Coach and Assistant Coaching positions at the Toms River YMCA as well as Lacey Township and St. Joseph’s High Schools where he coached many championship teams.
Born in Hudson County, New Jersey, Ed currently resides in Lanoka Harbor, New Jersey with his wife of 13-years, Ellen. He is also the proud father of three children.
Ellen Schack is the Founder and CEO of Cowabunga Ice Cream, the world’s first designer ice cream company combining super premium-quality ingredients with distinctive flavors that bath’s your taste buds in luxury.
While Ellen is the brainchild behind the company’s elegant and inspired ice cream creations, she has cultivated a non- pretentious national brand image in line with the “Cowabunga lifestyle.” This Ellen describes as “living life to the fullest and in abundance until it overflows.”
A serial entrepreneur, Ellen has much success establishing, growing and realizing profitability with startup businesses. In addition to her role at Cowabunga, she also serves as CFO at EES Cosmetic Solutions, a leading manufacturer’s representative and distributor within the cosmetic and personal care industries. Ellen co-founded this company 10 years ago with her husband, Ed Schack, who serves as CEO.
Prior to Cowabunga Ice Cream, Ellen owned and operated three Jazzercise Franchises, which speaks to her avid love of health and fitness. Ellen regularly competes in 5K runs and other physical activities, crediting her endurance and determination as the reason she’s able to manage multiple successful businesses, raise three children, and be a loving wife all at the same time.
Another of Ellen’s great passions outside of work and family is serving in the Forked River Baptist Church worship team where she sings and plays guitar. She also is an active member and recent sponsor for the Christian Chamber of Commerce. Born and raised in Monmouth County and now living in Lanoka Harbor, Ellen is a life-long resident of New Jersey.
